Hi,
I have an 07 expedition that even at 85 degrees outside temp it won't pull down under 50 degrees at the vent even driving on the highway. (shouldn't it pull down to the low 40s? (using the standard air conditioner thermometer) When it's parked it only gets down to 54. It seems like it should get colder, it causes the fan to be running at high a long time. The dealer is telling me this is normal, that in 07 Ford changed an orfice that causes it to be a littler warmer. I have 800 miles left on my warranty and want it fixed before it ends. They have had to add freon at least once and they also added dye to help find a leak but they haven't found one.
Can anyone tell me if they are feeding me a line or not? I have an older ford ranger that pull the temp to 40 at the vent.
Thanks in advance for any help!!
Jeff
