I have a 2007 Expedition EL Eddie Bauer with the shifter mounted on the center console. When I left for work last night I noticed that it was very clunky each step as I shifted from Park to Drive. It doesn't feel like the transmission is clunky, but the shifter itself. It also only does it when shifting from Park back towards Drive, but not the other way around. Feels completely normal when shifting back into Park.
Is this something to be concerned about? Is there anything I can do myself to avoid taking it in to a shop or the dealer?
