If you look closely enough at the factory paint job on any Ford vehicle painted in White Platinum Tri-coat, it will be very easy to spot the difference in color between the metal parts and the plastic parts (fuel filler door, bumper covers). It was especially obvious on our 2011 Lincoln MKX and the body shop manager passed it off as, "they're all like that." A quick walk through the new car lot proved him right. It's gotten better, but not equal to the Koreans that paint their much lower priced white pearl vehicles with imperceptible differences between parts.
