16 inch wheels

Has anybody gone down to 16inch wheels on their Expy?

yes, i was running 16x10 wheels with 365/65/16 toyos. those are my spare tires now but yes.

back in the day, 4x2 expys didn't need to "go down" to 16's. they came stock with 16 inch wheels....255 70x16 on my '97 eb stock from the factory.

why go down? whats the advantage of the smaller rim? more tire?

cost was the main factor for me 17's with 35's would of pushed me over $1600 i got what i have for $1200

I found a set of rims I like, and there is a $50 difference between 16in and 17in(per rim). $200 will almost buy 2 new tires.

There are certain 16s that will hit the brake rotors on the front. Careful

i have 16s. just make sure you make sure theres enough break clearance for the breaks. but my 16s came from the factory.
