I was thinking of getting either 16x8 or 17x9 fule rims with Firestone Destination A/T All Terrain Tires P255/70R17 110S 054290 will that be to big in my wheel well and have rubbing (or worse) or should i be fine either way? i don't really want to have to modify anything to put these on. (no grinding, shaving or lift kits involved.

I've got 265 70 17 on my expy right now and no issues with rubbing. 285 is really the max without a lift.

cant put 17" tires on 16" rims...so u will need 255/70/17 for 17s...255/70/16 for 16s...the last number tells u what size rim the tire will fit...search the threads in the 1st gen section and suspension section...there and MULTIPLE threads asking "what's the largest tires size? should I go 16s or 17s?" in there and it may even be a sticky...questions like this are asked ALL THE TIME with answers/suggestions already available...price is the biggest reason from what I read why ppl go 16's vs 17's vs 18's
