1997 EB Expedition Bambi Fog light mod questions

Howdy ya'll,
Just found this site. I wanted to know if anyone else with the older expy's have done this mod where you can have both the high beam and fog lights on. I did the mod and it works pretty well with my hid headlights and hid foglights. My only glitch is that when I try to get just the parking lights to stay on with the fog lights I get the regular headlights on low come on not just the parking and fogs like I have seen on the web.

Anyone have any ideas since there isn't much on the web when it comes to the 97's. I've mostly found 2000's.

I have a 2000 and it did not have foglamps. I wired the lamps differently. Ideally would be to use the factory foglamp switch but I decided to tap from the parking lights (with a separate relay to draw from the battery of course)

So with this mod, when I turn to the first click, both parklights and the fogs stay ON. 2nd click, headlamps and fogs stay ON. I cant imagine a situation where I need the parklights and not the fogs. But I still put in a toggle switch inside the engine bay if incase I need to bring it for service.

i tried to do this mod over weekend and it isnt working for me. i actually filed down the "track" in back of the headlight switch were i can pull the switch when its at the parking light slot but the fogs wont come on.

do i still have to tap into the wires to make it work? is so which wires will do the trick for me.

ur help is greatly appreciated.

I just did this mod today, works great.. Yes you do have to splice. Its the white wire with a black stripe and the brown. I used a quick connect.

Hey fellas i was thinking of just tapping off my headlights, so if i leave the switch on auto (they turn on automatically when it gets dark), what you think about that ?
