1999 XLT 4.6 2WD multifunction switch issue

Hello,

I was having trouble with multi-function switch randomly turning on the front wipers when I hit a bump. I replaced it with a Rock Auto switch and now I'm having issues with the left turn signal. When I active for a left turn, it works fine and the avatar blinks no worries. I press the brake pedal, avatar stops blinking, turn signal stops blinking.

Its only the left signal doing this. I activate the right signal, it blinks and continues blinking when brake applied.

Any idea on this one? Bad switch? Gremlin?

Check your ground at the brake lamp.

Bad switch. Replaced it and voila! Problem solved. Back to Rock Auto with the old switch

I have the same issue with the wipers on my 00. Did this fix the issue?

I got a faulty switch from Rock Auto, they're refunding my purchase price because I bought another switch from O'Reillys. The 2nd switch worked great. I used this video on how to install a new switch. It's for an F-150, but it worked 100% with my 99 Expedition
