The other day way out in the woods during a rain storm I rolled down the drivers side and passenger side windows and engaged the defrost with AC (Oregon is very damp and so were we) just as the compressor kicked in the dash and all power windows ceased to operate. Just dead. I thought maybe we had lost the alternator and I hadn’t noticed it which would have been odd given it was brand new within 6 months. It’s in the shop now but after a week no clear diagnosis has surfaced. The only other information that may be important is that the windshield seal at the lower right corner has allowed some moisture into the dash area at times but it didn’t seem like much. Anyone else experience something like this and have suggestions?

I had similar electrical issues few years back, can't recall all the specifics, but found that a Control Board located under dash, driver's side, down by the fuse block was bad.

Apparently is a thing on Gen 1 Expeditions from lower window seal allowing moisture in.

Found a replacement at a salvage yard. Fun to replace, with the need to drop fuse block out of the way to access and lying under the dash.
(Nothing compared to changing the Heater Core on this bad boy, don't get me started).

Electrical can be quite quirky, so not saying this is the problem with yours, just something to explore if you have not already.

Good luck to you.
