I've been please very much buying Motorcraft parts - except the steering wheel controls.

I've placed MC new ones in, but still no go on cruise control. Self diagnostic fails at the last button. I've already tried to swap out the servo, no go. All cable are good.

I'm glad you found the solution.

If anyone had ideas on the cruise failing 'Set' it would be great. I get the green light on the dash, but it will not hold speed.

Thanks for this. 5 minute troubleshoot and repair because of this thread. Mine just had cracked hoses but since replacing them, all good.

Before taking it to the a mechanic check you vacuum lines, pcv, connecters. One of my hoses pops loose because the connecter part is worn out and the hard plastic line are OK but I might just replace it all. If not then it could also be your catalytic converters. My 2004 xlt requires the C.A.R.B version. Here are some pics from rock auto, one of the cheapest places I have found or us them for research. Beside the is Ebay or local autopart sore with their brand not name brand
