2005 5.4L tuner available yet?

Any word on tuners for the '05 5.4L expy ?

I got a Hypertech Power Programmer III, model 41043, for my '05 EB Expy. It was about $290 from autoanything.com at sale price and was tax-free and free shipping.

It was super easy to re-program the the power programmer, and easy to revert back to stock... takes about 20 minutes to install the power program.

There are probably more feature-rich tuners available, but this one works well for me so far... The biggest issue I had was occasional "knocks" when I REALLY get on it (hard acceleration), but this only occured because my wife filled up the truck with regular unleaded and I had it programmed for 93 Octane. I re-programmed for 89 Octane and the knocks went away. After I fill up again with 93, I re-programmed it back to 93 Octane. Yes: There is an option with this tuner to program for either 89 or 93 Octane.

I also chose to tighten the shift firmness... I drove around with and without this setting and found that I much prefer the power programs firmer setting.

I'd been looking at the Hypertech, and was waffling between the PPIII and their new HyperPAC, but the $700 for the HyperPAC just didn't fly. I'm going to go with the same PPIII as you have. Sounds like it does just what I want for my '05 Expy.

You should contact Hypertech to discuss the differences between the HyperPAC and the Power Programmer to see if the extra dinero is worth it for your application... I'm not racing my Expy, just hauling kids and a boat occasionally, so I don't need all the PAC features.

Besides, if I have $700 to blow today I'd save a couple more weeks longer and go for Gibson headers and exhaust system tuned specifically to improve the low-end torque.

Where is the 89 octane setting? Mine only has 87 or 93. Here in the People's Republic of California we only have 91 octane gas at most pumps. I choose to stick with the 87 tune until I can get a full tank of 91. Did I miss something?
