I have a 2006 Expedition XLT 4wd with right at 68k miles on it and have been noticing some transmission issues and was wondering if anyone could point me to the cause of my issues. The vehicle seems to run fine but occasionally i will here a squeak come from under the vehicle that sounds like something slipping and have noticed that if you slow down and reapply the gas sometimes it will make a low thud sound as the clutch catches when you apply more gas. To top it off the other day was driving it and had to slow down for a dog (was a 20mph road) and after the dog passed i reapplied the gas and heard this loud bump and my check engine light came on and no matter how much gas i gave the vehicle it would barely move. I parked the vehicle took it out of gear and turned it off. It would not crank back up until 2 or 3 trys later and then ran fine the entire way home. Any ideas whats going?
