I am new here and we have a 2006 Eddie Bauer. When driving the truck at a steady speed and then lightly giving throttle the truck will start to jitter like its missing really bad. I replaced the TPS,idle air control valve, all plugs and coils, new fuel filter. I have checked the fuel pump module for corrosion and seems to be fine its not cracked or anything. Also i keep getting the po453 code which i can not figure out. I have checked all hoses and nothing is blocked or leaking that i can tell. Hate having the CEL on for that. Also checked and replaced gas cap. Any help with what might be causing these two problems would be great. There are no codes except the po453 present.

I am having the same issue and am stumped as well. Generally happens between 40 and 50 mph and very light throttle pressure. Release the gas pedal and then give it gas more aggressively and all is fine. One additional item of note- problem goes away entirely when overdrive is turned off. I can't make the car "miss" when the overdrive is off. Only seems to happen once it has downshifted and rpms are low. Appreciate any thoughts or ideas....

Same thing if you can get it to downshift all is fine or if you give the pedal a more aggressive push the shudder is not their. I have tried with the O/D on and get the same thing, this is driving me crazy, also does yours fill like it falls on its face once in awhile when under full throttle?????? I was told the fuel pump might be going out or the module, checked the module and all is well, the fuel pump is throwing the po453 code for the fuel tank pressure sensor which i cant figure out either.

one other thing i should mention when i remove the gas cap there is no pressure build up in tank, replaced gas cap still same thing could this be relevant to the po453 code or something else????

Had issues under full throttle once. CEL came on, took it in under extended warranty and had COP and plug 3 changed for misfire. No other codes have come up. My initial thought was just bad plugs/COPS and they are about due (95k miles). After the plug and COP change, Expy drove a lot better and I had no other issues for about a week. Started back up but is very infrequent. Very annoying. Have been driving around town with the O/D off and turning back on for highway travel.... Not exactly ideal.

Ok tried overdrive off today and the shudder went away, not completely gone but hardly noticeable, don't exactly want to drive around with O/D off. Iam thinking that it might end up being fuel pump related. The problem is I don't want to by parts that I do not need. Really can't afford to drop it off somewhere to have fixed, I usually do all work my self just iam stumped on this one.

I cant find anybody that sells the FTPS. I guess i will call the stealership in the morning. I still can not figure out why the tank does not pressurize, there is never a hiss when i take the cap off. Minor problems except for the shuddering throttle guess i get a fuel pressure test before i fork over the money for a new pump. What is the correct fuel pressure so i no i wont be ****** around.
