First time poster, long time reader.

I'm attempting my first installation in my truck and I have a couple of questions I need some clear answers on before I do this. I hope someone here can help me.

I have a completely stock Non NAV\Non Sync 6 disc system with OEM subwoofer, Rear Seat Controls, No DVD. I'm keeping all of the stock speakers and Amp, I'm just replacing the headunit.

The questions:

1. Does my truck have CanBus? If so, how does it work and will replacing the radio have any adverse affects on it?

2. I have read a lot of posts (older posts) that state when I replace the factory unit that I will loose accessory power... and that most wiring harnesses (Metra, scosche, best kit) don't have wiring to keep accessory power. I read this on older posts, was there ever a fix to the wiring harnesses for this?

3. I have steering wheel controls, and I DON'T want to lose them. Some have said that I will have to buy a SWC interface by PAC or Axxess, others say I can utilize pin 18 and pin 19 in the wiring harness, connect them to key 1 and ground (or something like that) and it will work that way without a SWC interface. Which is it? The unit I purchased does support steering wheel controls and can learn functions on it's own.

3a: I've read a lot about wiring harnesses for Ford Expedition not coming with pin 18 and pin 19. Others say you can add the pins to the harness, but I don't want to do that, and don't really want to tap into the wires in the OEM harness, are there any harnesses that come with these pins?

4. Also read that that some people haven't been able to retain the Vehicle Speed Sensing (VSS.) as from what I understand it's not in any harness... I would like to retain that. Are there any harnesses that retain this?

That's pretty much it... don't wanna lose SWC , VSS, or Accessory Power.

I've talked to the people at Crutchfield and they recommended the PAC RP4-FD11. It's a bit expensive, and from what ive read i wont even need most of what comes with it...is there a cheaper alternative? Another site recommended the PAC C2R-FRD1... still kind of expensive.

My unit comes with a reverse camera too... what should I know about hooking one up?

Thanks

If it helps, this is the unit that I'm installing. A Chinese headunit that runs the Android operating system called "AN-21U ".
