2008 Electric Seat Help

My buddy has a 2008. His driver seat foward and up motion stop working. When he hits the button he hears the motor moving but it does not move. His "friend" who works at good year says it needs to be reset at the dealer. He lives far from me so I cant take care of him. What do you guys think. All the other functions work on the seat. Thanks

I'd get the tools out and take the seat out for a look at the track. I would expect a problem with the gearing.
