2009 EL EB Radio Upgrade

i have the 2009 EL EB with the basic sync radio, i have access to a 2008 radio with the screen & the backup camera from the tailgate.
are all the models wired for the camera?
do the radios require reprogramming?
trying to figure out if it is an easy swap.

For 2008 year model the backup camera screen is in the rear view mirror, among some other key differences between the two. I'm not sure this is going to be plug and play.

Just get an ATOTO or similar Chinese 10" Android unit. Much better.

I put this Kenwood DMX1057xr in my 2009 a few months back. A major improvement in everyway. So glad to ditch SYNC.

The Kenwood install, was it plug and play. Does the rear camera function?

Yes and yes. Used a Maestro rr as the interface. This radio actually supports 4 cameras. I use an aftermarket rear view ( better picture) but their is an adapter to use the factory camera. Radio is $1250, Maestro rr $200 and if you order through Crutchfield they give you the wiring kit for you car for about $40. All plug and play from there with the exception of the speed sensor wire you need to splice. I have more pics if you want to see them. You also get access to OBDll gauges.

Yikes expensive... does it tilt/swivel? Install apps? Have an emulated 360° parking camera?

10" screen, yes it tilts, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, view 3 cameras at once, HD Radio, OBDll integration, awesome sound, parametric equalizer, more sound customization than you can shake a stick at. Definitely worth it if you are into quality sound systems. A little pricey but it was my 60th birthday present.
