Welcome to the site.

Anytime you have small leaks it is advisable to clean the component, run the vehicle and look for the source of the leak.

My 2010 drips trans fluid at the rear of the pan. I've been through 2 transmission fluid/filter changes. Both times I've meticulously cleaned the surfaces, installed new gaskets, but every time it still has a slow drip around the back 4 bolts on the pan. I've experimented with different torques on the bolts but nothing helps. Very frustrating, but I've just been living with it. I think the next time I drop the pan, I may resort to some silicon or something.

Could be you have the same thing going on. Just thought I'd share that.

Both of you guys have a leak at the bulkhead connector. $20 part and easy to replace, but you have to drop the pan to do it.

It only leaks after the truck sits for a few days so if you drive daily things will likely remain clean and dry. Ford revised the design some time after your (and my) trucks were made and the new rubber material seals better and last longer.

Yessss! Silly me...I've even seen this video before but completely forgot about it. Next time I service the trans, I'll be doing this. Thank you mjp2!

Happy to help. I went through it a year or two back so it's still fresh in my mind. :)

I had the same leak at the bulkhead connector. A new connector with seals, some Mercon LV and a pan gasket and its good to go!

I appreciate it has been a couple of years since this post, but here goes. I purchased my 2010 new and have had it for 12 years. I have NEVER had any leaks. About a month ago I did the 60K service (I have 149k miles) which included transmission flush. Hadn't seen any leaks, drops, etc. until this AM. The car had sat for a few days and now it looks wet underneath and on the ground. The spot is as big as a hand towel. I didn't notice the spot until I returned after driving it around today. Let it sit and cool off for 4-5 hours and no dripping. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there an easy fix? Really don't want to put a new transmission in it if possible!!!!

Also, I do not see the above video link. Is it still up and if so, can you repost it so I can take a look?!?! Thanks in advance for and feedback!!!

Being that the pan should have been removed to change the filter, it may have been installed improperly, causing a leak. If the bolts are tightened too much the pan's flange will bend preventing uniform sealing.

Another possible problem, discussed above are the "O" rings in the bulkhead connector.

You have to carefully inspect the unit and find the source of the leak.
