I have a 2011 Expedition I bought new in 2011. Have currently 38000 miles on it. Currently moving down to Florida from Illinois and one of my buds lent me his 18" enclosed trailer with dual axles. So I bought and Installed the brake controller, so far so good. Get it loaded up and the second day of driving while on the highway at 65 mph I hear a sorta bang and the back end starts to fish tail a bit. Seemed to be from the right rear end.

So I get over to the shoulder and sure as all get out thinking that the right rear tire/tires blew on the trailer. To my amazement all tires checked out fine with my air gauge. So fast forward a few hundred miles down the road and it happens again. This time I look at the dash and see the traction Control is activated. Mind you roads are perfectly dry.

So I get to where I am going and disconnect trailer and unload. Next day heading to Walmart for supplies it happens again this time without the trailer attached so that ruled the trailer out. I find this trend and what happens very disturbing and potentially dangerous since its like one wheel locks up and the anti skid activates all the the same time. This isnt good at Highway speeds at all.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so how was it fixed? I did look though 2011 EXP TSB's and didnt see anything that applied. Also see a bunch of other Ford vehicles having the same issue but not a Expedition.

I know I can go to the dealer but I am also sure the code reader wont be showing anything. But I will eventually go if I cant get the answer I need.

Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA, Jim
