2012 Navigator Lift/leveling options

The 2012 Navigator is ready for new tires. Wife wants a lift and off road tires. What options are there for a 3/2 level kit. We are thinking 275x65x20 tires. Does the navigator have the same stock suspension as the expedition.

Booboo I am in Tucson also. I have a 2007 expy el and used rough country front coil spacers to level it. Then I opted for 285/60r20 Goodyear duratraks. Works great no rubbing. As far as the rear, you need to know if it has the air ride or not. No air ride and you have options, with air ride you are very limited.

It really depends how much you want to lift it. There are a couple of threads on here that talk about lifting the rear with the air ride. It involves lengthening the shaft on the sensors. Looks pretty easy really. I haven't done it. With just the front coil spacers in, my ride sits maybe 1/4 inch higher in the front. Not really enough to notice unless you really stare at it.

With the coilover conversion you will get the increased ride height, but lose the load leveling and soft air ride. It will ride more like a truck. And from some of the posts I have read, there may be an issue with check engine lights due to the deleted air ride. Some kits include instructions to turn this off permanently.

Hope that helps some.
