Hello, All
I am a new poster, but have been lurking for a couple of years.
I recently bought a previously enjoyed 2012 XLT Expy. It was a replacement to my 2007 Expedition EB with 285,000 miles. There were no real problems with that one, but the increasing mileage just prior to my retirement prompted me to get a newer one (my wife's 2004 with 167,000 miles is still doing great as well)
I have NO moonroof, so my upper console has switches for the lamp/reading lights and the rear vents.
Anyhow, I mounted a backup camera monitor into the sunglasses holder in the upper console. It will be used with a bluetooth-like camera which is magnetically attached to my FRONT Class-IV hitch. I am looking for a switched 12V line in the roof console to power this monitor. Surely there is one up there, since the vent windows will only work when the ignition switch is either in the RUN or ACC position.
There are two Molex connectors in the ceiling: one has three wires, and the other connector has eight wires. Can I pick up a ground and 12V from either one of these connectors?
I appreciate any help that can be provided.
Thanks in advance.
