Again and Again we have to revisit this issue as new people experience this problem. I know most will replace struts under warranty. I did as well. It's a waste of time. Ford OEM struts for Current Expeditions are absolute garbage. I went thru 2 Sets in less than 15000 miles. After 2nd set, put Bilsteins on it and it is like a different truck. Do your self a favor and don't waste your time on the OEMs.

I went to the Bilstein website and they don't show anything for a 2017 Expy. I wonder if the 2016 will work.

Also, what to do about the rear shocks. I have the self leveling shocks. I am not sure what would happen if I only install front Bilstein shocks.

I'd like to know the answer to the above question too. My EL has already had a front strut replaced at 20,000 miles. I'm not going to play the "replace your struts ever oil change" game. So can I swap my Nivomats out for Bilsteins?

If you do, you'll lose your load leveling.

Sure, which is fine with me, I just wasn't sure if a bilstein strut was basically plug and play in place of the Nivomats.
