Does anyone else have squeaky noises coming from the upper steering column when turning the steering wheel? Gets worse the colder it is outside.

Sound like a power steering pump issue but by upper steering column you mean inside the cabin? If its inside the cabin then only thing I could think of is the U joints needing to be greased

Yes, it's inside the vehicle. Gets really loud when the temp outside drops.

Sprayed some lube around the base of the steering wheel, didn't make any difference.

Are you sure its inside the cabin? Its very possible you have a junk ball joint or tie rod end causing the squeak. They typically get louder in coler weather.

Clockspring or upper steering column bearing. I've had them make a small squeak so I never opened things up to investigate, but the noise has come from one of those.

Here's a place that sells parts and instructions for the Ford upper bearings, but you'd have to make certain our Expeditions are included and be sure that's your problem.

Thanks, I've sent an inquiry on the website.

The squeaky noise is definitely coming from inside the vehicle, upper steering column by the steering wheel.

Sounds like a bearing/ bushing that's dry. You won't know till you pull it apart and inspect. Be sure to read up on removal of wheel due to the danger of airbag deployment.

I have similar squeaky noise from inside the cabin. Sprayed some lube around the base of the steering wheel, it helped for few days but then noise come back. It’s typically during morning, when it cooler outside.

Mine sounded like it was at the steering wheel but it ended up being at the gasket where the steering shaft goes through the firewall. A little silicone spray silenced it for me.
