I'm currently working on a projector low beam+reflector highbeam retrofit for no apparent reason at all. lol

Hey Wiped Cam, I am bumping this thread as I've read a bunch of your stuff regarding OEM lighting. have you come up with any new or updated solutions for headlights? I need to buy new OEM assemblies and all the aftermarket assembles look like junk.

Sorry for bumping this again. Been doing some research and am struggling. Are the 2015-2017 headlights compatible with 2007-2014?

Do 2007-2014 have halogen reflector lights only? if there is a projector headlight, what is the part number?

Thanks for help in advance!

No, the 2007-2014 are single bulb assemblies - probably H13, however, with some wiring changes, I bet you could install the 2007-2014 assemblies into a 2015-2017. Since I know the early 3rd gens had a bulb for the side marker in the headlight while the late 3rd gens had an led assembly in the headlight for the side marker.

High beams are generally not much if any difference in wattage, usually just high beams are directed higher to light up further down the road.
Usually high beam bulbs ARE a higher wattage h11=55w h9=65w, h13 low=55w, h13 high=65w, 9005 & 9006 are the same way.

I would like to go the other direction. See if a 2015-2017 unit can fit into a 2007-2014 expedition. More so if it can use projector style instead of reflective.

If my research is right, 15-17 projector headlights will fit with a little modification to the fender mount point. easy peasy.

WTB a set of 15-17 projector headlights. New prices are outrageous. Dealers quoted me nearly $1400 for a pair. Rock Auto is a hair over $1k. WOW.... Will accept decent condition.
