( behind the usb & 3.5mm jack) is? Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine's empty...just checked as you had me curious. I thought you might be missing the little mesh bag, but mine hangs off different pins...

Its a beer bottle opener! Or, Quarter holder, so when it leaves you in park, you can call somebody who cares, Uber, Lyft! I really have to agree with Mrbadwrench, and mquick5, given the space that seems to be apparent where that doohickey hook is located, you can probably fit one of those small CB radios in there, or a small ham rig, and that is where the mic goes. My 2016 has this ridiculous thing-a-majig in the console where you are supposed to program one of the smart keys so your kid cant do 90 up the freeway like somebody I know! I have never been able to get that process to work, not to mention it seems a bit poorly thought out, I tried a couple of times, not one of Fords better ideas, got nervous I would annihilate the keys brain to the point of dysfunction! Those keys are kind of pricey! I am sorry for how this paragraph started out, but common, I could not help myself! I love my 2016, don't get me wrong, but when I come across stuff like that in it, I call it a Ford Fart, and move on. Keep looking, trust me, you will find more curious ??? Tucked away here and there.

Quirks and Features. .... and now a Doug score.

Yeah, I spotted this on my '15. It is a Mic cradle. I've been thinking about getting a mobile GRMS unit (Like a CB but with different channels). I would like a Mindland MXT275.

https://midlandusa.com/product-category/micromobile/

But I've been reading about what appears to be hardware bug with the unit (that may or may not have been fixed, still trying to find proof that it has). Plus if I go instead with some cheap ham pofung type unit, I will still get the GRMS capability plus more HAM bands.

Then finally, there is the self-admission that I really don't have anyone to talk to on this unit and no real need for it. Just a gadget for me to posses and likely use about twice a year.
