I'm having a similar issue, it just randomly stopped. When I try to turn it on, it acts like it's working then turns off after about 3 seconds. Going to try disconnecting the battery to reset everything today.

I have a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4 - purchased new. The Bluetooth feature has worked flawlessly except when I accidentally turn off the phone’s Bluetooth feature (which has happened several times). I have an Apple iPhone paired to the vehicle.

Check your phone settings, and perhaps turn-off and on your phone - then see if it pairs. If not, try pairing another phone with the vehicle. You could also check your vehicle’s settings to determine if you have the phone blocked (it should show what is paired, and the phone book).

Good luck.

Like I said, I disconnected my battery for about half an hour, then reconnected. After I reset the time, date and connected the bluetooth again, everything works like it ought to.

So I had this problem pop up again...Anyone have any more permanent solutions than disconnecting my battery every few weeks?

Perhaps contact your dealer’s service department with your VIN and see if there are any computer updates / reflashes available for this problem?

My 2015 was built in March 2015 - the Bluetooth system did not have any updates by the dealer but there was a HVAC system update performed by the dealer.

Once or twice in the past three years, my system has “lost” the pairing of my phone (no battery disconnect). I followed the repairing instructions and it worked the first time I repaired it.

I wish I could offer more advice - good luck.

Did you need to pair your phone again after the battery reset? If not there was still something remembered. Clear all phone from being paired and delete the car from the phone and pair again.

I think this happens after an update to your phone operating system. Almost every time iOS is updated, I have to re-pair to the Sync 3 system. It could be my imagination, too. Its such a simple thing to overcome I never gave it a thought as being a problem.

I am looking but it isn't in your owner's manual. There is a supplement for the audio system but I haven't found it yet.

The (front) table of contents for my 2015 Expediton lists the sections for the phone pairing and operation beginning on pages 391 and 467.

Read your vehicle owner’s manual - it has a wealth of information...........
