Yeah that's not a King Ranch, it's a reseller trick because VINs for XL/XLT (budget trim) and King Ranch (top trim) come up the same

Looks like an XLT (civillian trim --- console, no steering column shift --- unless somebody did extensive mods), not an XL/SSV (government trim)... do you have LED strip fog lights (XLT) or round ones (SSV)? Are your floors carpet or vinyl?

By the looks of it, you just need a console lid / armrest

PS Also, if you expected police model skidplates, you probably don't have em

Yup that is an XLT with an aftermarket console lid.
Just get one from a junkyard.
Looks like they pulled the roof rack too wondering if the ran a light bar and removed the rack for light bar visibility.

Exactly correct the vin number is making it come up as xlt/king ranch even on registration, it does has a skid plate, they removed running boards, and roof rack, it has black carpet and led fog lights. They gutted center console nothing left to attach cover arm rest. Also not a trace of usb hubs nor 12volt socket, in the console shell.

Then buy a whole console... i might have one I could sell you, what's it worth to you?

Full set of SSV skidplates is like 3 or 4 iirc, not one

LED fogs and carpet = not an SSV

Unless you have some SSV/XLT which is not out of the realm of possibilities you will have a steel engine skid plate and one of those felt covered fiber transmission skid plates (those were standard across the board).
The SSV package also adds a heavy plastic fuel tank skid plate and a steel transfer case skid plate.

I am literally getting ready to walk out the door to clean and prep that skid plate. I am going to coat it in some bedliner to see how it holds up.

I do not know if the transmission skid plate is upgraded from the felt covered fiber crap on the SSV.
RCI makes an extended transmission skid plate I ordered it last week and they gave a 1-3 week lead time.

Either way you got yourself a nice rig there. Be interesting to know what it’s roll was.

You probably don't really need to bedline it.

Iirc, the 10yo one on my '09 still looks fresh for some reason

My 2000 SSV had factory skid plates and they didn't deteriorate at all in 20 years of New York winters.

A 2015 with 82 K miles from police service is quite a find. Usually they are beaten to hell with lots more mileage. Nice truck. Good luck with it.
