All of a sudden, the power hatch on my 2016 expy will not close and latch. It ding-dings and reverses as if something is in the way.
I checked everything, lubed the latch and if I push on it manually while just about latched under power, it will latch. I even checked the alignment on the receiver.
The only thing I see is that the rubber step cover on top of the rear bumper seems to be bowed up a bit and the bottom of the hatch looks like it is contacting it, but it doesn't seem to be enough to trigger a reversal.
I can't get the cover to lay completely flat in the center.
Anyone else have this issue? Things to check?
Does anyone know how that step cover comes off? It it just pushed in from the top with tabs & clips?
