2017 EL Limited with Intelligent Access Key

Hello, all - I just bought a 2017 EL Limited that has been a rental in the first part of its life. No problem there, except it only came with one Intelligent Access Key, and I'd like to have another as a backup.

I read elsewhere in this forum that I can purchase a third-party IAK on Amazon or eBay and have a dealer program it to the car, as long as I get one that matches the FCC ID on the one original key that I have. I took the entire IAK apart last night looking for an FCC ID, and found none.

Question for the pros: Would this IAK work? It looks identical to the one that I have. If not, how can I find out what FCC ID is assigned to my car's remote system?

Same thing here, bought the same vehicle and got 2 fobs with it, one fob was missing the physical key and the spring clip to hold it was broken. When I was playing around with settings in the vehicle it showed that 3 fobs were programmed to it. Just had the dealer re-code the two fobs and added a 3rd one. I don't really trust 3rd party fob providers and would rather spend a bit extra for OEM.

Plus I like the Ford logo on the back of the key.

That's true, I do like OEM... how much was the OEM fob at the dealer?

I bought a '17 Expy EL this week that only had one key. The locksmith recommended I buy two and he would program them for $100. (If you have two ADMIN keys you can program a third in the ignition. He said buy keys guaranteed by the seller to program. There are many cheap clones out there.

and programmed them myself using FORScan (currently free).

Oh, and I used the tool and FORScan to retrieve the keyless entry code.
