2018 Ford Expedition Sunshade problems

We have a 2018 Ford Expedition. The sunshade will go all the way back but will only close halfway. Took it to a dealer, was told would cost $2700 to remove entirely and replace sensors. Is there any way to manually get the sunshade closed?

Once you hit the button and it closes half way, can you hit the button again and it closes the rest of the way? You can try to reprogram the motor that moves the shade, however i forgot the hoe to do that. I can tell you that there aren’t any sensors that tell it when to stop, its all in the programming of the motor. Samething with the sun roof.

Wouldn't you still be covered by new car warranty? Oh, maybe you're out of the miles limit...

Shade on my '17 is manual-close. '18 has a separate motor? Curious.
