I was only joking about the 10k price as edizzle had no price to go off of and I was just busting his chops.

Leasing the first one in my city, got it last night. It just came in Tuesday. XLT version coming from a 2010 Limited. Missing a few options but overall I am I love! Didn't get pictures today. It went from 60 degrees yesterday to 35 with rain and snow all day. That's Michigan for you lol

Just got this pic from my detailer, the tint just got done. Went with 3m ceramic all windows except windshield, as dark as legal in my state. I don’t have a good before pic so I apologize. Next he’s doing the ceramic. I’m also getting some Xpel clear bra on the black areas that are the deployable running boards and area below rear bumper and inside the door jambs. Apparently the Gtechniq ceramic has to cure for 12 hours so I will be without the truck until Saturday... I guess I didn’t get enough waiting lol
Very happy with it. Before it was coated he did paint correction which made a big difference even on the silver color. With the coating, bugs and gunk come off with minimal effort. The only place on the truck that holds dirt is the rear tailgate and bumper area but I think the main cause of that is the aero. He also did the wheels and cleaning them is a million times easier as well. It’s not cheap but I have found it quite worth the investment since I’ll be keeping the truck long term.Artie, now that you've had your truck ceramic coated for a while, are you happy with it?

This depends on who you ask on this forum lol seriously though I got the Gtechniq coating and with paint correction and coating the entire vehicle I paid $2k, it takes a full 24 hours to cure so the whole job was 3 days without my vehicle (I also got full window tint and some clear bra put on a few places too so that added to the job time) and there is a reapply treatment once a year but my guy will come to me for that and there is no cure time for that either. It’s guarenteed for 7 yrs.Artie, what was the ball park cost and how long does this last? I am a "coating" newbie.

I found a small business mobile detailed guy to do mine, I guess that would fall under Mom and pop shop I guess. In my two month experience my vehicle does stay cleaner and the glossyness is absolutely ridiculous, seriously slippery. Bug guts will come off with minimal effort and a tiny amount of water. For what it’s worth I have the ingot silver color so it does a good job of hiding dirt. The coating will prevent swirling on the pain which is a nice feature, also the water beading is out of this world as well. It’s on my windshield and at speed the windshield wipers are redundant.Artie, thanks for the information. Did you do it at a "chain" type place or a local mom/pop? I'm wondering what the options are up here in the Washington DC area. Also, are you expecting that your vehicle will stay a lot cleaner and glossier between washes? That would be the "feature" that I will be looking for, especially if I get a darker color.
