Chrome delete is finally finished. I wrapped all the chrome in carbon fiber vinyl, replaced the grill with a raptor styled one (i also wrapped the ford logo in carbon fiber) and am in the process of tinting all the lights (taillights are the only ones left)

This thread looks a little stale. So meet Grace. Here she is with some 20" wheels I just installed to get rid of the stock 22" that came with the stealth package. I like this look a lot better. That Colorado sun made for some serious glare yesterday!New Wheels.jpg

If anyone is interested in the stock 22" wheels let me know.

Thinking hard about doing the same thing for my SPP. Mine doesn’t have the CCD so the ride is a bit too harsh, feeling every little bump. How does it ride on the 20”?

Even with CCD, the ride was greatly improved getting rid of the 22's, though I went all the way to 18's on mine so I can't speak for the 20's, but it's got to be an improvement.

Got the $21k whitetail buck frontend delete option. It's a little know option from frisky woodland critters.

Bummer man... Been there before in a F-150. Looks like all facia damage but still many $$$$$$s. Out west we have mule deer which are bigger and bulkier than whitetail. Always a hazard to watch out for.

My reason's for making the change were:

Aesthetics - I really don't like large rims and low profile tires unless it's on a show vehicle
Cost of replacement 22" tires vs 20" tires is about a $90 difference
Ride quality

I really didn't drive the 22's for too many miles, maybe 2k miles. 1" additional rubber between the wheel and the ground is a 20% increase (5" to 6") and seems to have improved the ride. Was really debating about going to 18's but once I got these on and drove some of the same roads as I did with the 22's, I'm pretty satisfied. May do a rear stabilizer upgrade and some Bilstein's to level lift the front someday. Good for now though, plan to put a lot more miles on it this year with some long distance trips. I bought it in Sept last year and don't drive it much, have only put about 2,500 miles on since then.

Are you sure you don't have the CCD? I thought the Stealth Performance Package included the CCD by default as part of the "package".
Absolutely positive. CCD is an extra option and does not come with the SPP. Same as HD towing package and the eLSD. Having those options, makes the ride extra stiff on the 22”. One thing for sure, my SPP does not have the usual boaty feeling going around corners.

I guess you don’t drive your Expy much. I did more than that the first month when I got mine. I do still have the 20” tires from my old F150. Maybe I put them on and see how she rides before I go for a set of rims and tires. I replaced the rear shocks of my ex F150 Babystroke with Bilsteins and they were identical than what the OEM shocks were absolutely no difference.

Somewhat new to the site, bought my ‘24 XLT last day of Sept trading in my 150 and Bronco. Found this site and really enjoy it- and it’s info!! Why say all that?! Immediately added protection from deer as I hit one whilst riding my motorcycle several years ago. So, here she sits- lifted, Raptor wheels, new tires, bumper/grille guard, winch and lights.

Nice! So you went the Ironman route as well.

Between you and Lumberjack, I'm getting a bad itch for one!

Hi everyone, been lurking for a while as I was in the market for an Expedition Max. Well, I took the plunge on a '24 XLT Max. The end of the month offers were too good to pass up as the dealer was trying to get these moved before the '25s start rolling in.

Chose the XLT over the Limited Stealth as the XLT has a solid amount of options included that I was after. Couldn't justify the extra $8-9k for the Limited, especially when I'm in bumper to bumper city traffic every day.

Plan is to wrap all the chrome in black glossy (yeah, another blacked out vehicle!).

Love it so far! Anything I should be weary about? Hoping that this last year of the generation has all previous kinks ironed out.

Uhhmm, they are officially known as "Parts Bin Builds". Of course that doesn't really mean anything. I have a 2021 that was built the 2 days before Thanksgiving, so... You never really know what you get. Haven't had mine long enough yet to know what I may come across.

Good luck to you and welcome.

Haven't heard that before, but it is what it is. Here I was all happy and all on a Friday. ;)

It's just a production term, not specific to any product or brand. Items built before the weekend, on Mondays, before and after holidays all show a variable "efficiency" rate. I had a Triumph motorcycle that was a final model year build and loved it for 17 years with no major issues or failures. I had a mid model year Audi A6 once that I kept too long. Kept thinking that if I just fix this I will be good for now. Never was, horrible car. Next Audi I had was great. Have had 3 BMWs with no issues at all, while all I hear from other people is how horrible they are. Same with a 2006 Grand Cherokee I had and I even bought it as a used rental, one of the best vehicles I ever had. Chevy? 2 Personal ones that were garbage, 5 company ones that I drove like I stole them and never any issues.

I have never had a Ford before myself, so, I will just enjoy it and see what the future brings. What I have learned is that if any of my vehicles starts to have annoying continuous issues, dump it and move on.

I prefer the term "De-blinged" because it's more of a positive way to look at it, and my goodness does Ford love to bling up these vehicles with gaudy chrome all over them.

I have always enjoyed when people focus on the date like this. They don't take into account that things like the fact that the vehicle may have been assembled on a Wednesday but the engine might have been assembled last minute on Friday. Or what about the day the parts were manufactured? Was that CDF drum the last one the tech had to churn out before he could leave for the holiday?

That "generalization" came from some Production Management and Statistical Analysis courses I took. Interesting stuff, but yeah, not much anyone can really do about it unless you build it yourself. Even then.... I have found my own "missing tools" a time or two under the hood of my vehicles after doing some work on them.

Yup, you are correct! CCD is a 1,495 option.
