And I’ve never seen another expy with an “eco beast” badge, he posted a while back he put one on his on the what did you do to the expy today thread.

That sucks, I didn’t even notice that until you pointed it out. I guess I won’t be installing those anymore.

I know I missed it somewhere, but have you posted your Expy in this thread? The one in your avatar. Looks clean!

I posted one the night it was delivered to the dealer in the build date thread but the weather has been so crappy here and my truck has been a filthy mess so I honestly haven’t taken many pictures of it. Here’s the only good one I have of her clean.

Wow. Ford did a damn good job on this gen. The lines are smooth and just looks like a luxury SUV.

less than 48 hours and ours will be in our possession! I will post as soon as I can on thursday evening as long as the weather holds out. New to the forum here and hope to learn from you guys. 4th gen is by far the best looking expy out there or large SUV for that matter!

Oh no, already? But it looks like that Expy did it’s job well and protected it’s occupants.

I can't believe they total them after stuff like that… they're $60k+ vehicles for crying out loud.

These newer vehicles crumple up so easy though, and nowadays your through to the frame and bending it in a minor accident. It’s better to sacrifice the vehicle than to sacrifice you. I will say though aluminum bodies fold up a lot worse than steel in an accident while being no safer and it is 30% more expensive to repair aluminum than steel so the bills add up quick. but in an accident of that magnitude any modern vehicle is totaled no matter what its made of. We are a lot safer today than back when with our vehicles, except if you drive a sixties Cadillac that weighs 6,000 pounds..... I’d say your safe then.

That's true, I didn't think about the aluminum body work especially.

Don't get me wrong, anytime someone borrows my car I tell them there are two rules:
  1. Don't crash my car.
  2. If you crash my car, make sure you total it.
I would rather have my brand-new really expensive SUV totaled after an accident than repair it and try and drive it for years after, it'll never be the same again, unless it was a minor fender-bender with ONLY body damage.
