What trim options/levels is yours?
Too Bouncy = to soft on compression &/or too fast on rebound?

Yea, sounds like your shocks went bad. Idk about the fx4 off road shocks, but the base shocks were notorious for going bad quick.

Stock "regular" Ford shocks never work for my driving style after about 5K miles. Same for the brake pads IMHO.

The ride on my '18 Limited has become worse with time. "Bouncy" or "boat-like" is the only way to describe the current ride quality. I've brought this up to the dealer on several of my recent service visits.

The previous time I had it in and and complained about it, the tech left some notes in the service log, something to the effect "Cars drive smoothly on smooth roads and get bumpy on bumpy roads. Shocks working as designed."

Wow! Throughout my decades driving, I never clued into that. Bumpy road, bumpy ride. Smooth road, smooth ride. Brilliant! I hope I can remember that in the future. ;-)

In any case, they are obviously ignoring the part of my complaints where I explain "the ride quality has _worsened_ over time." It's in the shop now and I've raised the issue again - I'll report back if I get any feedback that's actually informative.
