Just so you are aware, I spoke to someone I know at another Ford Dealership. When the dealer puts your order in the system, the price it is at that time is locked in on what they were going to pay for it. So, if they try to get more money out of you, that just means they are trying to make a bigger profit. That's at least what I understand. There was a price increase on April 12th and another scheduled for April 22nd. Expedition prices went up on April 12th. My Platinum went up $4,000.00 since I ordered it. I am waiting for my dealer to confirm that my order is price protected. He keeps saying that he has to find out from his manager. Apparently his manager has gone missing.
Here are the items affected for Expeditions on 4/12/22. No increases for the Expeditions in tomorrow's price increase.

Thanks. People are telling 2 different stories. One, that is, as you say, automatic and prices are locked in at the time the order is accepted, and the other version is that the Dealer has to take the initiative to do some process within the Ford order system in order to Price Protect the order. I hope what you say is true, because this new dealer that I am working with (my original dealer closed) won't lift a finger to do anything.Just so you are aware, I spoke to someone I know at another Ford Dealership. Got a call from the General Manager at the dealership this morning, after I sent a flamer email last night. He said they price protect all of their retail ordersThanks. I wouldn’t call $1000 a price jump especially considering the 22’s got a facelift and current market. In the scheme of things a grand is nothing.Did Ford do a recent price jump on the 22s? When I compare current base MSRP of my XLT order to current it is $1k difference. I ordered in late Jan. Anyone notice this as well?
My window sticker is ~$2K higher than the price when originally ordered back in November of '21. My dealer said the order is price protected, but that I would have to wait for Ford to issue a credit to the dealer before I would get paid back the difference. I am ordering under X-Plan, just FYI.
Does this sound right to anybody (having to wait for a make-whole payment)?
What’s the color and configuration you got?
I ordered Max infinite blue in Sandstone bench sit and tow package in October 15, scheduled to be produced in May 09
I just talked to my dealer and was told the same thing. You also don’t get back the sales tax you pay on that money. I don’t understand it either. I was told it takes 4-6 weeks to get the money back also.My window sticker is ~$2K higher than the price when originally ordered back in November of '21. Sounds like it's time to call that Ford marketing number - that sounds very shady. I hope I don't end up hearing that same info.I just talked to my dealer and was told the same thing.
