Brand New 2022, 3k miles and GEM unit dead and car won’t start - normal?

With 3,000 miles - the vehicle is not “Brand New” - it is used.

What did the dealer say?

Poor quality has become normal with Ford. Do an internet search for CEO Farley and Ford’s poor quality - you‘ll find public statements by him about the matter.

Did you get it new or just bought it with 3k miles? Call the dealer up as it has to still be under warranty.

Not necessarily, most electronics have an "infant death" or "crib death" period where most boards that will fail. If you make it past a certain amount of time the odds of failure go way down.

This could be an infant death module.
