2026 owners manual out of date

Hi all -

Took delivery of our 2026 Expedition Active yesterday and trying to figure out how everything works. Lots different from the 2020 Explorer it replaced. Guessing it may be one of the first 2026’s off the line since the order number was 003.

Anyhow, long shot question - Does anyone here have info or a contact at Ford on if/when the owners manual for 2026 Expeditions will be updated for this actual vehicle? I’m OK with not having a printed one, but the digital one is so out of date as to be almost useless. For example, trying to look up how to adjust the outside rear view mirrors, it came up with a graphic and instructions for a button array they no longer have, rather than the steering wheel touchpad that now seems to perform this function. It still gives instructions for finding 12v power ports that no longer exist. And so on.

Ford claims this is the most current manual. NOT! Wonder if it’s even applicable to 2025’s.

The owners manual gets updated with updates to the APIM which is the module that controls the touchscreen. However, there is no way of knowing when Ford will release new firmware for that module and when they do, there is no way of telling when you will get sent the update.
