Yes, it is a bit quieter. I couldn't stand not having a cover where one was supposed to be. Crazy that Ford decided not to include them on the 21's.

Did the '21s come with a hood blanket? My 20 didn't. And I am sure they passed the savings on to you at the... oh, never mind.

Seems like the cover is needed, to wick water away not to harm any electronics ect.
The cowel panel seam is right over the engine dripping alot of water.
