22x10s w/off-road tires?????

I have a few questions I've been pondering for just over a year now and I think I'm going to finally pull the trigger here in about 4 months or so and I wanted y'all's input. Should I go from my current wheel set up of 285/70/R17 tires on 17x7.5 2015 f150 wheels to 22x10 aftermarket rims or off-road wheels on 33/12.5/R22 M/T MUD tires? If so what color would you do? I, of course, want to do black, no silver, chrome is ok but pricey and often shoddy, blue is meh but I'm still open to it but I'd really like a beige/tan rim to match the Arizona Biege trim at the bottom but they are hard to find and the ones you can find aren't big enough or are ugly! I have a 2 inch lift in the front, factory in back as well as 1.5 inch spacers all the way round on it already and I have about an inch of space between my front tires and the fender, IF, I did upgrade would the aftermarket set up fit fine or would I have to do some trimming to avoid rubbing? Dumb questions I guess and I'm sure of the answer as I've seen these with 24s with no lift or spacers but I want to be safe and ask those with more knowledge than I as well as factor that into my budget if it is needed! I've included pics of what BIG BLÙ looks like now and a wheel set up I'm thinking of buying.

I have the same EB trim on my '03. Went with these wheels from Fuel because they offered this finish color that sort of ties in with the trim.

On the wheel diameter... something to consider is that with the 22" wheels and 33" tires you'll end up with a fairly low profile side wall. This will give a firmer ride and won't allow for much airing down of the tires, should you want to do that. Just throwing that out there. Good luck with whatever you decide!

i have 26s at factory height and want to do 35's on them...i'd need a 3.5 or custom 4" lift to clear...my 26's measure at 32.5" so and i have 4" of travel space...i would think you'd be fine

I have 33x12.50r17 on some pro comp wheels. No spacers. I do have coil over suspension and lift spacers on all 4 corners. Totalling around 3 inches of lift or less. I need to adjust the rear down just a little

Do you plan on going off-road, or just lite trails is the question you may want to ask. I go off-roading so with my lift I have Method Wheels (aluminum with clear coat from Method) Wheels are 17x8.5 wearing Toyo R/T 35x12.5. I went this route to be able to maximize air down when needed. Additionally, you may want to consider an R/T over an M/T. M/T usually have poor performance in the rain R/T will give you most of the aggressive look but quieter and better performance. Lastly tires on 22's you will have less sidewall so rougher ride and not pothole friendly.

Just some light trail runs nothing real serious. Not to concerned about having less side wall and I kinda figured it'll ride not as smooth with thinner tires but.... With 33x12.50r22s the side wall is about as thick as a 285/45/R22 Which comes standard on the new Expys stealths so my thinking is if Ford is willing to do it on the new models it shouldn't be to bad with me doing the same with the older model.

Yes, so true. I was running 305/40R22 Toyo Proxes street tires for a while. A lot smoother riding than my 35x12R20 RT's.

Once you start getting bigger then 33s you need to start thinking about changing gears. Which is why I stuck with the 33s. They are venom power terra hunter RT. So far they are freaking awesome

Nah I don't plan to go any bigger than 33s. I have 285/70/r17s on right now which are equal to 33s in diameter but about 2 inches shorter on width. I'm also looking at a set of 285/45/R22 venom power A/T tires which after your review I'm sure I'll probably go with those! Thank you

The RT's are awesome. Played a little this week in the mountains and mud and they took to everything just fine. A little road noise but that's to be expected with some meat on there. But they handle great and ride great. And 50k warranty cant be beat for the price.
