Having a random issues with passenger window, front row. Twice I have had the window spontaneously bounce back when raising the wondow. It has happened twice in two months and the reset procedures all over google dont work. Anyone else with this or have a solution?

Check the window channel and clean with compressed air. There might be some dirt or bug that causes it to "think" there is a hand on the way (it's a safety feature).

This is the reset procedure we do in our Bronco (we have that happen once every 3 months). Just in case (slightly modified to what I've found online)

Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.
  1. Turn on car
  2. Close the windows as much as possible without it bouncing back (do not use the auto-up).
  3. Turn off car. Wait for everything to power off
  4. Set ignition to ON position (do not start the car)
  5. Press and hold the window control switch (first step, do not use the auto-down) until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for three seconds.
  6. Lift and hold the window control switch (first step, do not use the auto-up) until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for three seconds.
  7. Repeat step 6
  8. Repeat step 7
  9. Start the car

I just had this happen yesterday, I realized that while I raised the window, I was going over some bumps in the road and the vibrations caused it to retract the window. I tried it again on a smoother piece of road and had no issues.

My 2021 got window bounce on the driver's side window. I just finished putting on in-track rain/wind deflectors. I atributed the bounce to the multiple times I opened and closed the window according to the instructions. Everything I tried to fix this, nothing worked. On my way to the dealership to have the module reset ($295), I did one more thing. I pushed on the window as it was going up. No luck. I pulled on the window going up. Success! I tried it a couple more times. Each time it worked. Turned around and went home. Looking very carefully in the track, I could see the rubber folded up right near the rear view mirror. That's where the bounce started. Pulled the in-track rain/wind deflector off and re-contoured that end of the deflector so that it wouldn't bunch the rubber and re-installed it. Fixed!

I had the same issue on my 2024 f-150 Platinum and now again on my 2026 Expedition Platinum.
Did the self re-set quick fix, it worked for a couple of days, and now it's back.
Dealer is picking it up from my driveway tomorrow.
What is going on at the KY plant or in Dearborn that they've not corrected this after so many years - obviously, something is wrong and their OEM supplier needs to be replaced.

Well, for those still experiencing the bounce back issue, I can share first hand via a bulletin read to me by my local service manager that FoMoCo is pushing out an OTA update "sometime in April."
Finger's crossed it works.
