I'm roughly 2-weeks into ownership. Roughly 600 miles (1000 kms). I've had a few little quirks, but overall the experience has been positive so far.

I have a little rattle in the drivers door that I made the dealer aware of. They will look after that when I go in for my first service as, in my opinion, it's nothing major and doesn't need to be addressed right away.
I had some initial concerns around some of the panel and bumper alignment, those were addressed before pickup.

Mechanically, I have no complaints at this point. It runs well, the motor is strong. My dealer even filled it with 91 octane before I picked it up.
I have no vibration on the highway at higher speeds and I have the 24" wheels. I've used the cruise to lock it in at different speeds ranging from 65 mph to 85 mph and it's been fine.

The sound quality from the 22-speaker B&O is really good. I've gotten used to the infotainment and controls and can navigate around fairly quickly. Sure I wouldn't mind a couple more buttons, but it's really not a bid deal for me.

I'm going to a little wrap and ppf in the next few weeks to tweak a few things, otherwise it's good. I may scale the tires down to 22's at some point so I can make the ride just a little smoother and maybe get a little more city MPG out of it.

It was this or Yukon XL Denali w/ Ultimate package and I'm pleased with my decision so far.

Good to get confirmation on the CCD in the KR. I understand some of the frustrations on this thread, for sure, but overall I still think the Expedition is head and shoulders above the GM and Stellantis products. That being said, one of the things I liked best about Ford was the ability to truly tailor your purchase when you ordered a vehicle. I am an admitted KR junkie...I really dislike black interiors and am very drawn to the higher quality leather and materials in the brown color scheme. BUT, I hate moonroofs. Used to be that wasn't an issue, but now you can't order a KR (or any higher trim) without a giant hole in the roof to heat up the car and leak. Admittedly, the KR losing CCD will probably finally force me to switch trims next time, as I don't think I can give that suspension up. What that means is I'm driving this one into the ground, as it's overall got most of what I want.

Ford's color restrictions also annoy me. I really think Ford screwed up by not offering the KR in dark blue. That ticked me off, especially when you can get that pastel blue and all the various grays on a KR that clash horribly with the interior. And if the 2027 had CCD, I'd have had serious buyer's remorse over a Bronze Fire KR (but I'll take Star White and CCD over Bronze Fire and no CCD). I had that color on my old F-150 and it's my favorite Ford color of all time.
Have you thought about looking for a used 2025 kr?

I did that exact same thing when I purchased my 2025 Platinum.
My long-time sales representative told me this fact and convinced me to purchase.
If you find a low mileage 1-year old or same year used vehicle, you benefit from additional warranty coverage.
A new 2025, 2027, 2027 Expedition comes with a 3-year 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and the 5-year 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
My used Platinum, with very low miles, came with 2 1/2+ years left of the factory warranty, and the 5-year 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
Because of the used Blue Advantage, Gold Certified Warranty, after the 3-year warranty runs out, I get an additional 1-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, plus a 7-year 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
So, in the end I get 6+ more months of the bumper-to-bumper warranty and 2 more years and 40,000 more miles of the powertrain warranty for a barely used like-new Expedition. Add to that the additional savings in price, and it was a no brainer for me.

Only asking for my own education as I have a '25 KR with it, but I thought the '26 KR dropped the CCD? I remember reading that in the order guide and thinking it was a big mistake.
I'm convinced Ford's website details are not completely accurate - found too many discrepancies with reality. CCD on KR is one of those - the website seems to suggest it wouldnt be on the KR... but it is definitely on mine and was on the sticker for another couple 26 KRs I saw.

I own a ‘25 KR. I am just one of those “info junkies” that likes to stay informed as much as I can. If the ‘26+ have CCD, awesome! They should.
Out of curiosity, I just searched dealer inventory within 500 miles for KR Expeditions. Only looked into the first page of vehicles (maybe 10), but all 2026 included detail specifying CCD. However, I did see a 2027 (Lafayette Ford) and it did not specify CCD on the sticker - so perhaps the change did not take place as early as Ford expected. Makes you wonder if the decision is supply-related, and they're having to allocated a limited stock of parts.

I just did a cross country trip in my platinum max. 5000 miles for a total of 10000 on the odometer. Blue cruise is great except it nags quite a bit, especially when I squint a little looking into a bright sky. The air dam did not work. It kept getting stuck in the deployed position. Dealer would not fix it because they claimed it had had an impact, despite showing no signs of it. I finally just removed the inside part that lowers. I got 21.4 mpg on this trip so I don’t know if the air dam would have made a difference.

I hate the gauge cluster/instrument panel. It's an insult how poorly it is designed and how much information it lacks, especially while towing over long distances. I plan on reaching out to Ford on this one. Other than that, enjoy the vehicle.

I did a bit of the same and came to the same conclusion - 2026 seems to have it, not sure on 2027. That makes me feel a bit better (potentially), because a Bronze Fire KR with CCD would be my unicorn. Thanks for bringing this bit of info to light for me, at least on the 2026s!

We recently bought a new 2025 Expedition Max Active 4x2 and we still own our 2020 Max XLT (with 144,000 miles) so it is an interesting comparison. The 2025 is a bit longer and taller. The steering wheel takes some getting used to! The '25 is taller so some care parking and putting it in the garage is required. It seems harder to sense the limit of the front end, but the camara is a huge help with this!

unnamed (1).jpgThat said -- it is much quieter than the '20, both road noise and rattle noise. The '25 feels more capable driving and Blue Cruise is interesting (we do a lot of distance driving). The dash and controls are very different, but as we get accustomed to them, they are very good. We like the side camera when the directional is used. It seems even more powerful than the 2020 (breaking it in so just a couple of merge pulls) and it is nice to drive and spend time in it. We looked at the Wagoneer L and the Suburban, but for us the Expedition was the one.

I’ll update as we drive it more. The 2020 by the way, has been a great vehicle. We have had only minor issues and it continues to be a great vehicle.
