Has anyone thought of painting the liftgate the same color as the body.
Its only a paint job so it shouldn’t be outrageously expensive. I’m sure the top and bottom will need to be painted to match though

Might be less expensive and less hassle to have it wrapped.

I did, but decided against it, as it is one of the features that shows off it’s a 5th Gen. I am, however, in the process of having the wheel wells and rockers painted bronze to match the King Ranch highlights.

Picked up my 25 Star White Metallic KR Max today in Columbia, SC. Made it ~5 miles and the passenger rear valve stem unseated. Dealer was there within 20 mins, tire off, back to shop, and resolved.

Spent a few minutes figuring out keyless entry config, setting up my profile, connecting to my gmail account & my Ford Pass… all pretty easy and very intuitive.

Made a trip to dinner - will do a deep dive tomorrow. The Sinister Bronze wheels on the KR got 4+ comments within 15 minutes (waiting for the tire to be repaired and reinstalled, LOL).

My wife and I finally got to drive a kr expy, exactly like yours. She adored the interior. To me, the kr in black maybe the best looking expy right nOw, tied with spp with magnetic gray. My wife likes the kr wheels over the others.

After driving just about every trim we were contemplating, we decided on the spp. Still waiting to place an order. At first was waiting for overseas orders, but im 100% sure im not going overseas, or anywhere for that matter, so now just waiting on ford to lower interest rates lol.

There seems to be a lot of navigator owners with quality and software issues. Hopefulli, expy new owners are holding out better. Is it the same or your trucks are doing pretty good?

We have had our KR MAX for about two weeks now. My initial impression is there are a few software glitches but nothing horrible. It appears they tried to copy TESLA but did a half ass job regarding the two thumb pads on the steering wheel. They should have gone full on screen controlled functions or full on buttons. Sadly tried to do both but failed. Overall we love the KR but there is definately much room for improvement.

That seems to be the general and critical consensus, with the tech not really being a problem, but more the usability/accessibility of system.

Everyone happy with the transmission? The look is growing on me, but I'm not too confident with my 22'.

Our 25’ is a major improvement over our 19’. First thing, and most importantly, it’s so much quieter. Our 19’ plat noise level was a disappointment over our previous Yukon Denali. Ford definitely addressed that.
The tech is easy to learn. The dash, which we thought should have come coast to coast, is anctually nicely done and fits nice from the drivers seat. The 13” center screen which is the center of the tech is larger than the Nav, and makes up for it. No issues here and a major improvement overall. A much more aggressive look. Love it.

Any new owners who'd like to talk about there new ride? For those who've had theirs for awhile, how are they holding up? It seems like on the expy side, the quality checks are showing well. For those with ultimates, are you feeling the vibration problems or was ford able to fix it. I've only seen one owner here who had a major issue with the vibration on theirs and they dumped it, but otherwise, no posts about issues. The nav on the other hand seems to suffer from more quality issues, atleast from the forum members.

Picked up our new Tremor Tuesday. Only complaints so far is the passenger seat had a scratch in the leather. Also noticed the side console panel on the passenger side was not pushed in when I was vacuuming the second row. Pushed it back on so I assume it just didn’t get attached properly. To me the whole console seems a little flimsy especially the lid, which to me doesn’t sit very tight. Otherwise my wife is really enjoying it and I hope it’s as good to us as our 2015 we traded in.

Been in a Tremor for about three weeks now. Tech is pretty easy to learn and once you get there it's definitely a step in the right direction. As others have said, definitely room for refinement with future updates (hopefully that will benefit existing owners and not just future iterations).

Tires were out of balance from factory (3 of 4 pretty high on road force balance machine). Dealer got all down below 20, but there's still a bit of vibration that they'll get another shot at solving. Of course these are not the 24" tires others are having issues with. This is the third new Ford truck I've purchased that came from factory with out of balance tires.

Not sure I'm going to invest in Blue Cruise after the initial year. It's a nice feature, but I'll need to see some further investment in coverage and I'd like the lane changes to be more "immediate" to make it truly useful.

Nit picking, but I'd like the adaptive cruise to remember the prior lane keeping setting (on or off). I shouldn't have to turn it off each time the CC is engaged.

Have any of you done anything about the mismatched paint colors on the liftgate? Other than those of you that bought a black Expedition…

I'm on my fifth Expedition since my first 1998 model, and I'm looking to level up from the 2022 as my upcoming retirement vehicle, but I can't get over the liftgate, and I'm never buying another black car.

Did you wrap it? Have it painted? Something else?

My family likes its so that isn’t much help here. I’ve seen a few videos of folks wrapping it but depending on the angle and lighting it was never a match to the lower part. I agree on black vehicles, they look sharp when clean but scratches and waxing the damn thing keeps me away from it.

Looks like neither eLSD nor CCD are available on the ‘25s.

Anyone miss them?

(*Ford’s build function on their website shows neither as standard equipment nor options best I can tell, and the Ford Parts website shows only conventional shock absorbers for the ‘25 Expedition, no adaptive/electronically modulated shocks).

Ccd is available, its not a stand alone option its bundled with certain packages. Elsd isnt available this year, and I'm sure ford has there reasons why.
