Does anybody know if you can just buy the rear hub wheel bearing instead of buying the whole hub assembly? For a 2003 expedition 2wd. Or does anybody happen to have an old rear hub that can get bearing number off of it for me. Thanks.

Is there any Ford Techs on this forum that could help?

Hey bobby davis,

I'm Todd, the Ford Motor Company social media specialist for Expedition Forum. Unfortunately, I'm unable to answer technical questions, as I'm not a trained technician and I'm unable to look at your vehicle alongside you. There are plenty of smart folks on this forum. I recommend reaching out to them, and if you find you still have questions, contact the service manager at your local Ford Dealer.

Thanks Tod . I can do the work myself. I've been a mechanic for 25+ years now. I just would like to know if the bearing is available separate from the hub and if so does anybody know what the wheel bearing part number is. I'm pretty sure the bearing can come out of the hub by heating it up with a torch and if the wheel bearing is available all I would have to do is put it in the freezer for awhile and heat the hub back up and drop the bearing in place. That how we do it on the off road tropy truck wheel bearings.
