Just want to say thanks to all the lifted 2nd gen owners who posted their results about lifting their Expeditions! After many hours researching info on lift kits, I finally pulled the trigger and lifted my 06 Limited. I used the 3.5/2.5 ebay lift and picked up a set of used tires for fitment purposes. The outcome ended up being a perfect match. Specs on my Expy are: 2006 Limited 4x4, 175,000 miles and counting, towing mirrors from 1Aauto, 3.5/2.5 lift from ebay, 18x9 Helo wheels with a 0 offset, and 325/60/18 (33x13.5x18) Mickey Thompson MTZ tires. Lift and tires together lifted the Expy 5" total. Thanks again!!!

This is the best I have for now, I plan on detailing it up this weekend and getting some better shots.

Thanks! Now time to save up for new tires, these are only about 25%. I think it was worth the minimal cost for used before I spent 1K on the wrong size.

Did you do the install yourself? I am thinking about doing it but it's taking me a bit to get the confidence to do it.

I have a friend that has a mechanics shop, so I took it there and helped him do it. Having a lift and all the correct tools made it go quick. I think it took less than 2 hours start to finish. In a home garage it would have probably taken 3 times longer. But all in all, it is an "easy" job, and the directions have many unnecessary steps...... You can do it, just dont get in a hurry and you will be fine.

nice setup, exactly the direction I want to go with my 04, question, do you have any rubbing with that suspension/wheel-tire setup? Looks sweet.

All I had to do is trim the bottom of the front bumper. I just used a sharp knife and trimmed it at an angle, you can't even tell. It only rubbed in reverse with the tires turned, but not anymore. Nothing eles rubs at all.
