Hey all, bought a 00 Expy with 99K miles and all was great till today. Hooked up the snowmachine trailer for the first time today and I get the vibe at 30 plus. I detached said trailer and the vibration went away. I am thinking u-joints and hoping it's not a tranny/tc problem. Opinions?

I cannot detect any vibration while coasting or acceleration w/o the trailer. BTW, no ice in Expy or trailer wheels, I have towed the trailer many times and all was smooth.

thank, Joe

I would think that you would still feel the tranny even without the trailer. So I am going to have to lean towards the U-joints. But I am not 100% about that. I am not a mechanic. LOL :D Good luck though. I wish the best for you. BTW, your signature is funny as hell. :D LOL

I replaced the rear u joints and the problem is still there but it vibrates most at 45 to 55.

Pulled the front shaft out and had no change.

I am feeling it mostly in the steering wheel and only when towing the small trailer.

Lifted the front wheels and the bearings feel good.

Now what?
