One reason i bought my expy was safety. I had been rear ended by an 18 wheeler just beforehand. Luckily I was able to walk away. That being said my expy proved my choice was right.

The other Friday evening headed home in bumper to bumper traffic i heard the driver behind me lay on the horn. With no where to go, i continued on in the left lane i was stuck in. Next thing i know this car pulls up next to me and the "lady" flips me off. Then she attempted to pull in front of me, only to strike my bumper with her b pillar. It looked like the dash cam view of a cop doing a pit maneuver. The kia driver plowed her car into an embankment and i am left with a dime size tear in my bumper cover.

Lucky for all involved that her 7 and 10 year kids were ok.

You just cant fight physics.

I posted this so the rest of you might rest easy with your family in an expy.

Luckily you and the other kids came out fine. Maybe it'll show her not to drive like an idiot?

They do make their presence known on the road.

This is true.

When I am in my X, no one tries to run me over, when I am in my wife I30, scared sh!tless, (just don't feel safe in a car anymore), everyone tries to run me down, and I drive the same speed in both vehicles.

yeah i cant drive my gfs car. even if she gets twice the mileage as mine. i always have people think that they can beat me till they see 6 lights on in their rear view at night or when they see the size of my bumper. i will never by my gf a new "car". the smallest i will go is a jeep JK or a tacoma like she wants. she likes to off road so i need something like that for her. and a lift! haha

I just like being up high. Used to have a Turbo'd Mustang GT andthe old lady had a Corvette and I always felt like I was on the ground and couldnt see anything.

6000 vs 150 when I had my bull bar on the front of the Expo and would smash grocery carts.... childish but fun

Update

Now the fun begins. It appears that this lady does not have insurance. Here i go again (yes i have had it happen before). I pay out the rear for insurance for me my wife and two kids that drive. This state needs to get serious about this stuff. If you don't have insurance then the state should demand your plates be surrendered.

They do, for a day when they get the plates, then cancel or not pay it, only if they get stopped can they be caught, if cops would quit trying to raise revenue by only giving out speeding tickets and start showing up at folks door steps then maybe it could be resolved, but that won't make the governments any money, not sure how uninsured driver insurance goes, but I have it.

In GA they revoke your license if you don't have insurance, but that does not help because people will just drive on their suspended license anyway.

o FUNN! thats why i pay the extra for uninsured motorist! there are a crap load of them out there. i think cops should do their DAMN JOB! instead of playing hide and go a give a ticket maybe if they drive around and see what people actually do then maybe there will be more money for the state. but NOO! they rather hide in the shadows with their radar guns and go BOO like its halloween! if they went to all house of people that have registered cars and not insurance then maybe there will be less people on the roads and then maybe less idiots too! its called a bus!

Been there... Lady hit my Motorcycle and gave me her insurance card. When I called them to make a claim they said she was never insured with them. When I complained to the lady that hit me, my bike disappeared the next morning... Awesome.
As for Uninsured Motorists... I just denied coverage because I was explained that the only difference was that you do not have to pay the deductible if it is their fault and your insurance will still cover everything. Without the coverage, you just simply pay the deductible.

Well, when it comes to cars, I had a big issue getting rid of my super reliable "el que no sabe fallar" (the one that doesn't know how to fail") as one mechanic friend referred to my 1989 Crown Victoria. I have had never any accident on that as the car still looks, handles and feels like new (Can't get rid of that car damn it)... SO now my 2002 XLT comes to the aid offering the big size, which I have always think on never seeing how much gas it does burns compared with the safety feeling of driving such cars. So it is good to know you emerged unharmed of that accident, thanks to this wonderful truck.

Almost 2 decades ago I was crazy about Camaros. My dream one was a 1993 red IROC-Z. After a few years I owned a regular 1983 brown one, and then around 1999 I purchased a dark purple 1987 Z-28. Everybody said the Camaros were too small for my 6'7" height, but I just smiled because I was on my dream car. Since last December and after buying my 2002 XLT everybody says: Hey, you finally purchased a car that goes well with you...
