4.6L passenger side oil leak

My 2002 4.6L has developed the infamous cylinder head deck oil leak on the passenger side at about 110,000 km. The ford dealership wants $4 grand CDN to remove the engine and replace the head. Is there an secret warratny out there that some one knows about. The motor runs well with about 15-17 miles per canadian gallon.
