2000 eddie bauer, 5.4 awd, 4x4 light on dash ingages its while stopped? 139000 miles regular services. little slip in reverse? ANYTHING?

Could be tires

Mine did similar. Would throw in on it's own just driving down the road, talked to another ford owner at the dealership mine is 2000 eb and he asked if all my tires were the same. I had one different brand tire, even though same size. Luckily I needed new tires so I bought 4 new rubbers and it hasn't happened since, problem solved. Read somewhere that our trucks only allow for a 3% difference in tires or it could cause this problem.
