5.4 engine ?

can anyone tell me whether my 4.6 engine parts bolt up on a 5.4 block to change out my engine. 2000 expo 2wd. trying to save what i can if its possible.

A lot of parts are interchangeable, including the heads. Plus many smaller ancillary components. These are modular motors, after all, so.

Some parts won't fit, like the intake manifold, since the space between the heads is different.

Often it's just easier and cheaper to buy a complete remanufactured long block. You may end up paying more if you do a short-block swap, then are chasing small parts all over town and paying retail price for them.

The sensors/harness should be virtually the same but the wiring harness may not fit exactly perfect because of length differences. It would be best to find a donor truck with a complete harness as well as the computer. If you end up keeping your old computer and harness then you will have some slight issues but it can be handled with a custom tune or I can dig up the right calibration file for the 5.4 and put it on your 4.6 computer.
