it will be 12lbs to start due to running a 9.4 compression want to stay with pump gas. If my tuner can do it I will max it out at 18lbs. I have seen it done but depends on my tuner I got to.

I am running closer to 8.7 to 1. Wish I had went higher so it would make more power with less boost. It will help when I can get a blower that can make more boost though.

I also have a 3 inch body lift which has really come in handy with engine clearance.

That will help a lot with header clearance!

You could always swap head gaskets to a thinner one. if you went stock like i did it .036 compressed. Cometic makes different thicknesses for 5.4. would help compression a bit. I know you can get .030

well i bought my SC cheap from craigs list it was a BD-11a which is belt driven for 700 shipped that was everything needed. So I ordered the Xb-1a kit from 928motorsports.com
BD-11a max boost with ceramic bearings 12lbs
XB-1a 18lbs Max

I also shimmed the impeller closer and upgraded cooling and the belt tension-er.

So I only have about 1900 in my SC set up.

Nice build cant want to see and hear it running.
I'm also interestd to know if the long tubes fit or if you need to modify.
Good luck with the build!!!

Was wondering what kind of rocker arms you chose?
I would like to look into a full roller option if it exsists.

Full roller is not very price effective. They are not really necessary with these modular motors. Jesel is the only ones I have seen available myself and not many venders carry them due to the demand at that price. (each)

Jesel OCF-82300 OHC Overhead Cam Follower Steel Ford 2v/4v Mod Hydraulic Post

Even high dollar lightnings I have seen do not run them.

Here are some pics of the install. I almost have her ready to run.

It went really well. Had it bolted up in less than an hour, I installed the long tube headers while the engine was lifted up off the mounts, took 20 min to install headers fit was perfect. I did have to modify the trans dip stick tube by cutting a chunk out and installing a 3/4 inch hose in its place just have to make sure you have the measurements correct on replacing the cut out portion or your readings will be off. also had to move the starter wiring more to the outside of the frame to keep it off the header. which was an easy fix with a self tapping screw at the corner of the frame. driver side fit was great no modifications. They have plenty of clearance even without the body lift.

I'm very interested in the body clearance but not sure it will apply to mine since you have a body lift. I know clearance on mine is very tight between the body and starter.

there is alot of room above the headers. they just go out and close to the frame rail. I really coulndt believe how easy the install was. oh yo have to take out the heat shields on both sides. they do slide up in position nice and easy.

.

Looks like you did some engine bay prep. Very nice. I wish I had the time when I did mine to clean it up.

Looks good can't wait to hear it run! You have to post some videos!! :))

So your saying if the body was 3" lower (stock) you do not believe there would be any header clearance issues?

Would hate to go through all the work and find they don't fit?!

yes i don't think there would be any issues except for the ones mentioned. Ill take some more pics tomorrow of under the truck and you will see what im talking about. the BL did help with the install as far as getting to put the bolts in. but that's it. trans dip stick was a lil pain but i tried for a while with it stock before I cut it. has to be cut. valve covers did not help either. I should have went with the trick flow there more the stock shape just aluminum. these are bulky. Also will post where the dip stick is now which is a couple inches to the left of the TB. I might go back and just make a new one.

I also got my first custom tune in and installed. So I will post videos of before the supercharger and after. Just want to make sure I break her in nice and easy. Read some horror stories of high dollar builds messing up after 500 miles. Ill hook up the SC after 1000 miles or so. Also if you did the long tube headers the off road y pipe fits nicely as well. If you dont have emissions testing. The only issue I have right now is finding a plug for the EGR hole in the header and re routing vacuum lines since its gone.

I have no idea what rwhp I will make. I am hoping for 550. As far as prep work I did a lot of it at work spent 5 hours on just redoing wiring harness which is triple wrapped. All hoses and sensors replaced, everything bead blasted and truck liner sprayed. will aluminum oxide blast the frame and undercarriage later and coat it. Went ahead and painted the inside of the engine bay matte black to match the truck (which will be done later).

A few updates, finally got all vacuum set up hopefully correct since I deleted the EGR. Have mounted my oil separator, and finally got the right stuff to hook up both of my oil pressure gauges. Now just have the radiator with electric fans and add gas.

Does deleating your EGR make any differance on these motors? I thought about doing this too.
