8" rize lift

i previously started a thread about spacers with 35" tires. I really wanted a rize lift but it was too expensive. however i found a guy who wants to sell me his new uninstalled 8" rize lift kit for 2,200.00. i'm seriously considering doing this. i will use my stock "new bilstien" shocks and coils until i can get new coilovers. my question is this. for those of you who are running 35 tires how is the steering in tight places. My 2006 f-250 has a hard time turning 37x13.5 at a dead stop almost impossible sometimes. but i can get a ram assist to remedy that. I've looked at other forums on steering with no luck. everything i find has to do with the death wobble. if i upgrade to 35"-36" tires for my new rize lift will i still be able to steer in tight places easily?

Well just an update. I'm getting the rize 8"lift and decided either go big or go home. So I'm getting 37" threads now comes the hard decisions. What wheels and tires to go with. I already have a spare 37x13.5x20 NITTO mud grappler. But I wanted to try something different. I want an aggressive tire that wears nicely. Don't really care about noise or icy or snowy conditions. Since i live in Tejas it only gets cold about 1-5 days out of the year where i would have to worry about bad weather. And let's face it no mud tire really does excellent in wet conditions that I'm aware of.

well i noticed the pitbull tires on the scene about 3-4 years ago but i have never seen a set run anywhere i've been. I've only ever seen the tires on youtube or magazines. I would like to ask someone who has personally run them and see how they would wear for a 1/2 ton truck and how they perform on road and off compared to Mud Grapplers or the SS M16.

I am looking at the new Toyo R/T's or Toyo ATII Extremes for my F-150...only looking to go 35" though not 37". I have Nitto Trail Graps on there now and not a huge fan of those now that I have put almost 30K on them.

I had a set of toyo mt on my f250. With only 20,000 miles still plenty of tread i had to replace 3 of the 4 with new tires because the side walls started bulging out or splitting at the side walls. After that i have no faith in toyo tires. I called rize today to find out about shocks and I'm still waiting for a reply. So i called 4wheel online because they also sell rize and they told me to call rize to get the right part numbers. So I'm waiting to hear from rize on the coil overs to get for my expedition. Aside from that. I'd o go with king coil overs it will take 4-5 weeks to get here so there is another set back. This build is taking for ever it seems.

Side note. I still have yet to tell my wife I'm doing this. So hopefully since our anniversary is on Nov 11th she'll be like "that is exactly what I wanted for my anniversary. " one can at least hope that is the reaction she gives. Any advise on how to break news like this to the ol lady?

Buy her something nice... then brake it to her and tell her its half the price it really was lol. Works for me

But the lift was almost half price. I already bought her a customs built ar15 in 300 blackout, a pair of Costa sunglass let her go to Costa rica, and bought her a new toyota. So in thinking worst case scenario I'll be like well this is a tiny price to pay for your hubby's happiness. Then I'll probably get a slap to the face and get served for divorce.

Well, the freight company is swinging by sometime this week to pick it up and hopefully i can start the installation this weekend but will not know for sure until a couple of days from now.

Update my anniversary is tomorrow Nov 11th and i still haven't told my Wife. I'm so ****ed. but oh well. I also decided to go with the Nitto Mud Grapplers since i already have a spare 37x13.5x12 tire just sitting in my garage. But i really wanted the Super Swamper m16's after reading several great reviews.

The interior, trust me; is a cool looking superior quality finish. But extremely hard to care for and when not taken care of they dry out way to fast and Crack and peel. I'm about to post a before and after care and some techniques to keep it clean and purty.

Hey Aggie Expo. My 2010 2wd Expy is in the shop having an 8 inch Rize lift installed and going with RPB 20x13.50 rims and 37 inch Nitto Grapplers. That and a few more modications

I just got back in town. I decided to go with the 200 fuel lethal 2 piece wheels and sick to the NITTO mud grapplers. I went to discount tire today and I'm waiting for them to get the wheels in. And I will try to install the lift this weekend. By myself and see how it goes. I will send pics of course as I'm doing the install.
