I have not looked at my front driveshaft but I imagine if you wanted to get rid of the 4WD you could just take the front driveshaft off

I really don't need 4wd got a good deal when I purchased it, from one owner well taken care of, the transmission went out been sitting up a couple years hard to find a transmission so I've decided to rebuild it or get rid of it the trucks in great shape figure someone could use it on here just purchased another expedition eddie bauer 5.4 2wd
